Easter Sunday at Winter Park Resort

When it comes to finding the best lodging in Winter Park, you cannot go wrong with our properties located around Winter Park Resort. You are just steps away from the slopes and have access to fine amenities. Winter Park Resort puts out all kinds of events throughout the year that provides fun for the whole family. Part of their event lineup this year is Easter Sunday with a variety of activities waiting for the whole family. The festivities kick off at 9:00 AM when the Easter Bunny will make an appearance at the Village Gazebo. Your children can join the Easter Bunny in tracking down Easter eggs hidden all over the area. After your kids have found all the eggs their basket can carry they can go to the arts table and take home their own Easter Bunny they are able to paint. There will be plenty of candy handed out and the Easter Bunny will be ready to take some photos with you. Later in the day starting at 1:00 PM, the Ski Easter Egg Hunt will kick off. This is a unique event that takes place on top of Porcupine and Bobcat slopes where kids can search for eggs as they slowly ski down the hill. The Easter Bunny is sure to pop back up again and the Ski Patrol Team will be on hand to help out. This is a great way to let the kids have a bit of fun on Easter Sunday taking place April 20th.

Spring Bash and Splash

There is still plenty of more fun happening at Winter Park Resort over Easter Weekend. Over the month of April Winter Park Resort will be hosting their Spring Bash and Splash with unique events happening each weekend. Over Easter Weekend you can enjoy 90s Retro Bash & High Fives Retro Shred-a-thon. This party will have you partying like it is 1999 all over again. Live music will be provided by Ninety Percent 90s from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM on Saturday April 19th; DJ Eric Figueroa will also be on hand spinning some tunes before the band hits the stage. This free event encourages all attendees to dress up in their best 90s attire. You will find plenty of opportunities to snap a pic in the retro photo booth or grab a snack from the 90s snack bar that is sure to include some old favorites of yours.

A costume contest will be held too for those in their best 90s attire. Make sure to pack your favorite pair of JNCO jeans or throw on a quick fake mullet to really fit the part. Register at the snack bar for a chance to win the grand prize of $500. The final part of the event is the High Fives Foundation Retro Shred-a-thon that will be raising money for athletes who have suffered life changing injuries. This fun on the slopes is nothing you have quite seen before. Don’t miss out on the 90s Retro Bash taking place on Saturday April 19th as part of Spring Bash and Splash.

Final Time to Hit the Slopes

Winter Park is lucky to be at a high elevation that allows us to have our ski season open for half the calendar year. Winter Park Resort will not be closing down for the season until April 27th letting you have a final chance of hitting the slopes over Easter Weekend. The slopes will be open every day over the holiday with plenty of fun for you and the family to enjoy. Winter Park Resort offers dozens of slopes to take on with a variety of experience levels. The resort has an onsite rental shop to provide you with gear you need for the day. Take a lesson at the ski school to perfect your skills before heading back out. This is a great time to experience the slopes without the busy crowds that are found earlier in the year.
