The month of April sees Winter Park Resort bring back their Spring Bash + Splash event that is perfect for all ages. This event has been a local and visitor favorite and is welcomed back with open arms. The Spring Bash + Splash is a collected of many themed events, free concerts, and all kinds of spring fun throughout the month of April. The Big Wonderful Beerfest & Bluegrass

Nothing beats the combination of live music and craft beer and that is exactly what you will find over at The Big Wonderful Beerfest & Bluegrass. This event kicks off the Spring Bash + Splash over at Winter Park Resort. This single day event will provide live music from local DJ Eric Figueroa along with Pixie and the Party Grass Boys; additional artists will be added to the lineup closer to the event taking place. In addition to having several hours of live music you will also be able to enjoy unlimited beer samples from over 20 of Colorado’s finest breweries.

The month of April still features snow in the area and this is an outdoor event so make sure to dress warm to stay comfortable. In addition to the beer and live music you will also find a craft market with local vendors selling a variety of goods. This is one of the most popular events taking place in April and will sell out so purchase your tickets today. The Big Wonderful Beerfest & Bluegrass will take place on April 5th starting at 11:00 AM.

Carve Out Hope + Bucket Banked Slalom

The following weekend will have the Carve Out Hope + Bucket Banked Slalom taking place over at Winter Park Resort. This local event is about having fun and supporting the local Winter Park community in the area. You will be able to enjoy a free concert from Rob Drakin along with DJ Eric Figueroa. The Bucket Banked Slalom is an annual snowboard race in honor of Winter Park Center alum Ben Lynch who was born in the area. The banked slalom is a curvy race with tight turns that is perfect for experienced boarders. Participants get two shots at the race in order to take home the top prize. Proceeds of the event will benefit the Grand Foundation HOPE (Healing Opportunities through Prevention Efforts) to support mental wellness. This is an all-day event on April 12th with live music starting at 11:00 AM.

90s Retro Bash

Get ready to party like it is 1999 with the 90s Retro Bash taking place on April 19th. This event features plenty of live music once again with a free concert from Ninety Percent 90s. All participants are encouraged to attend in their best 90s or grunge attire to join in on the fun. A costume contest will be held so tighten up that mullet or find your old pair of JNCO jeans to wear. The grand prize is $500 to the winning group! This event will also feature the High Fives Foundation Retro Shred-A-Thon that lets you take on the slopes in a fun way to support a great cause. Spring Splash

Last but not least is the Spring Splash taking place at the end of April. This is Winter Park Resort’s annual pond skim where you dress up in your favorite onesie and attempt to see who makes it out on the pond the longest. The event is known for some incredible splashdowns and jumps to take place along with fun attire. Registration for the pond skim is limited to 100 people so make sure to arrive early to join in on the fun. Spring Splash will take place on April 27th for a free event.
