Winter Park 4th of July Celebration & Concert

When you visit Winter Park you will find that most of the fun takes place right here by our vacation rentals around Winter Park Resort. The area hosts a variety of events that turns up the fun to another level including the 4th of July. This year, the 4th of July falls on a Friday allowing you to party up all weekend long. The fun always kicks off each year with the Winter Park 4th of July Celebration & Concert. This is a jam packed evening of fun and excitement that the whole family can enjoy. Families can head on over to the Rendezvous Event Center where you can find this free to attend event.

The party kicks off at 6:00 PM with a concert that year’s past has included local DJs and artists including Buckstein and DJ Jen. The music will be the backdrop to the remaining fun activities you can find in the vicinity. Tons of outdoor games will be set up for the family including corn hole, bocce ball, and more. The family can snap a quick pic together in the complimentary photo booth to help you remember the evening. You will be able to grab snacks and beverages from the local food vendors too.

The fun continues until the final event of the Winter Park 4th of July Celebration & Concert: the Brightflight Drone Show! If you have yet to experience a drone show you are in for quite the treat. Many Colorado communities have switched from fireworks to drone shows during the summer to prevent any potential wildfire mishaps. This allows our community to remain beautiful and free to explore throughout the summer season. The countless drones will take to the night sky and provide a dazzling demonstration for all to see. The drones can create unique formations that normal fireworks are unable to do. The display will be low enough making it easy to see for everyone in your family. The drone show is expected to last approximately 15-20 minutes making it the perfect end to a wonderful evening. The Winter Park 4th of July Celebration & Concert is free to attend and is a popular event in the area. Make sure to arrive early so you can secure a prime viewing spot for the drone show before it kicks off at sundown.

Fireworks at Grand Lake

If you do prefer a classic tradition of fireworks over a drone show you and your family can make the trek out to Grand Lake for their 4th of July celebration. Each year Grand Lake offers their annual fireworks display that shines bright over the lake water. The fireworks will kick off around 10:00 PM and are shot off from the USS Doris out on the water around Headwaters Marina. The fireworks are always a giant display and are easily seen from anywhere around the lake.

Many businesses with patios will be open for you to hang out and enjoy the show from. Many families will also pull up a chair and enjoy the show from the shoreline too. If you spend the day out at Grand Lake, you can enjoy the fireworks from on the water; boats are allowed at night with proper lighting, allowing you to be right below the dazzling show. The drive to Grand Lake is approximately 45 minutes from Winter Park making it an easy drive. Arrive early during the day to catch other activities in the area. Grand Lake puts on a 4th of July parade that is always a joy to see and their Rotary’s Pancake Breakfast is always a delight; don’t forget to bring cash to this cash only establishment!
